Andre Onana’s transfer to Manchester United has been officially announced

In a £47 million transfer from Inter Milan, the Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana joins the Red Devils.

David De Gea, the club’s first-choice keeper for 12 years, left the club and will be replaced by Onana, who has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of an additional year.

Onana re-unite with Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag, who served as his Ajax manager for five seasons.

Having achieved success throughout his career, we know that Andre will further add to the winning mentality we are building within our squad.

“He is already one of the world’s best goalkeepers and at the age of 27 we firmly believe that he can develop even further over the coming years.”

As seen in this announcement teaser video, the 27-year-old will now go to the United States to join his new teammates on their pre-season tour.
