Busquets reunites with Messi at Inter Miami

Former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has signed a two-year contract with Inter Miami.

Busquets will now team up with Lionel Messi, a former teammate from Barcelona, whose signing was confirmed by the club yesterday. They both played for the Camp-Non for 13 seasons, winning the La Liga, Champions League, and Club World Cup together.

After playing at Camp-Nou for 18 years, the former Spanish international announced at the end of the last season that he would be leaving the Club.

Busquets Statement: This is a special and exciting opportunity that I’m very excited to take. I’m looking forward to this next step in my career with Inter Miami,” said Busquets. 

“I was impressed by the club when I came with Barcelona last year and now I’m happy and ready to represent the club myself. I can’t wait to help bring the success that this ambitious Cclub strives for.”

Busquets is expected to make his debut this Friday in the League Cup against Cruz Azul.

Inter Miami is also expected to capture the signature of Jord Alba, Sergio Busquet’s team at Barcelona soon.
