Jonny Evans has signed a short-term deal with Manchester United following his departure from Leicester.

After his contract at the King Power Stadium expired, the seasoned center-back was a free agent.

Evans 35, is currently back at Old Trafford after initially joining the Red Devils’ development squad in 2004.

Manchester United’s statement on Jonny Evan’s transfer: Jonny Evans would be available for the forthcoming preseason matches in Scotland and America.

Evans has already participated in a number of first-team training sessions, according to the Red Devils, and has impressed manager Erik Ten Hag.

Evans has been included in the lineup for Wednesday’s match against Lyon at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.

Evans, who played 198 times for United, left the team in 2015 in quest of a regular football schedule.
