Portugal midfielder, Paulinha, joins Bayern Munich

Joao Palhinha, a midfield player for Fulham, is expected to sign with Bayern Munich for a total of £42.3 million, plus an additional £4.2 million.

The 28-year-old’s deal to join Bayern Munich in 2023 nearly fell through on deadline day.

The agreement, which will set a club record for Fulham, was reached just a few days after Marco Silva turned down the opportunity to join Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Palhinha is presently competing for Portugal at Euro 2024, where they will take on France in the competition’s quarterfinal.

He paid roughly £17 million to transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Fulham in 2022, and in his first season at Craven Cottage, he was named the team’s player of the year.

Palhinha spent two seasons in west London, making 79 appearances and scoring eight goals.
