According to talkSPORT, Aston Villa and Al Nassr are competing for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

The Villans are eager to sign the French forward after having had a £30 million plus add-on deal turned down by the German team.

The 24-year-old is still a target for Unai Emery’s team, but Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League is now a serious rival.

Al Nassr is willing to pay the France international a large salary in an effort to persuade him to go from Europe to the Middle East.

But it is unclear whether he will accept their offer given that a move to Saudi Arabia could lose him a spot in France’s Euro 2024 team the following year.
