Striker merry go round in Europe
The French powerhouses, PSG, are pushing to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen and are looking to let go of players.
The 25-year-old striker’s agent is in Paris for negotiations with PSG, who are hopeful that a deal will be reached for him.
A former Napoli player has begged the forward to stay in Italy, although an exit this summer seems likely.
Napoli has been pressing for the fulfilment of Osimhen’s approximately £110 million release clause in order to sever ties with the Nigerian international.
Chelsea is still interested in signing Osimhen, but they don’t think Napoli will accept a deal this summer, according to HITC.
PSG has made two strikers of their own available this summer in an effort to advance in their chase of Osimhen.
Intermediaries have contacted clubs to let them know that Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo-Muani are available.
To create room for Osimhen, PSG would be willing to part ways with the striker pair this summer, and Chelsea is one of the teams that has been contacted.
It is acknowledged that the Blues have not yet responded.
Chelsea is looking to bolster their striker group after last season, when they mostly relied on Nicolas Jackson to set the tone.
Now, PSG has made them an offer to end their striker hunt.
